Hawthorne Gate

Irish style Stout

Brewed in collaboration with fellow Vermont craft creators and friends at Barr Hill Distillery, Hawthorne Gate features the complex flavors of roasted, dark malts with the foundation of a traditional Irish style Stout. Aromas and flavors of dark roast coffee and bittersweet chocolate are layered throughout. We mingled local raw honey and Juniper berries landcrafted from Caledonia Spirits into this Stout, and the supplemental layers of dryness and pleasant floral aromas round out this extraordinary pint.

Honoring the Hawthorne Gate

Deep within the sacred roots of the resilient Hawthorn tree resides an enchanted gateway.

The Fairies of Beltane are bound by folklore to protect and honor the Hawthorne Gate and its thorn-ridden twisted trunks and magical berries which fuel the ancient festival of Spring.

Celebrating the fairies' unwavering commitment to protecting the Hawthorne Gate and shepherding the turning of Spring, we enthusiastically collaborated with fellow Vermont craft creators and friends at Barr Hill Distillery to brew this unique Irish style Stout.

Grab a pint. Cheers your mates. Celebrate the Spring. Honor the Hawthorne Gate.
